The annual Philippines Bus and Truck Exhibition – or more popularly known as PHILBUS AND TRUCK Expo held its 2019 leg last July 24 to 26 at the SMX Convention Center. This is the biggest international business-to-business expo for buses, trucks, and commercial vehicles organized by the AMB Tarsus Events Group. Out of more than 500 participants, JM Far East, Inc. was one of the exhibitors for this 3-day event. JM Far East, Inc. showcased three global brands carried by the company – Falken, Hankook, and Continental. For every visitor who stops by and inquires about the products, brochures and other free items given.

During the expo, two other activities were happening, one of which was the Business Matching Session participated by Ms. Perla Batingal, the Marketing Manager for JM Far East, Inc. This allowed various business entities to build connections with other exhibitors that could potentially lead to partnerships. Additionally, there was a Truckers Forum where Mr. Winston Manabat, the President of JM Far East, Inc. was invited to become one of the speakers for the event. His talk centered on tire safety and how choosing the right tire could potentially affect the profitability, and efficiency of the automobile industry.

“Don’t just look at the price, look at the value and quality”, said Mr. Winston Manabat when he was talking about one of the reasons why the company chooses to showcase premium tires. “Having a high price does not necessarily mean expensive, and having a low price does not necessarily mean cheap” and as elaborated, when one buys a premium tire he or she could potentially save at least 50% percent more as compared to purchasing other types of tires. With a premium tire, the quality is secure unlike with other types wherein the quality and durability is often times sacrificed. He also emphasized that choosing the right type, size, and style of tire could ensure the safety of everyone regardless if he or she is a passenger, driver, or on-looker.

The 3-day expo also had special guests from the national government such as Senator Cynthia Villar for the opening day, Senator Grace Poe during the Truckers Forum, and Senator Win Gatchalian for the Transport Cooperative National Congress 2019 attended by more than 400 delegates ranging from members of the cooperative to people from various industries.

Mr. Rizaldy Ramos, National Sales Manager of JM Far East, Inc., was one of the speakers for the congress about the topic of Tire Management on Road Safety. “Your safety is our top priority”, mentioned by Mr. Ramos summarizes the goal – which is to create awareness that proper tire management can and will greatly affect the experience of driving or riding any vehicle.
